School Cultures and Gender Variant Children: Parents’ and Guardians’ Perspectives

This inter-professional workshop aims to present evidence from parents and researchers demonstrating productive educational cultures for trans and gender diverse children. We will discuss best practice in a range of schools for trans and gender diverse students and their parents and will develop some easily workable education service provision strategies within their legal and policy frameworks. Ultimately, we aim to increase professionals’ knowledge about gender equality and diversity and be able to disseminate this among their colleagues and with those they work inter-professionally with.
